Thornwell will provide a simulcast of the Empowered to Connect conference on Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8. The two-day conference is held in Tennessee, but will be presented via a live simulcast on the 3rd floor of the Nelson Building at Thornwell. Empowered to Connect is designed to help families, professionals, and churches better serve children impacted by adoption and foster care.

Professionals can receive continuing education credits toward their licensing requirements by attending the conference. This simulcast is approved by the National Association of Social Workers for 5.5 continuing education contact hours on Friday and for 5.5 continuing education contact hours on Saturday. Please visit the Continuing Education Registration for 2017 Empowered To Connect Simulcast Eventbrite page for more details and to see how to register so that you can receive continuing education credit.

Check-in for the event begins at 9:30am Friday, April 7. The simulcast begins at 10am and ends at 6pm, with a lunch break on your own, on both days. The Empowered to Connect conference schedule details the topics to be covered both days. Seating is limited to 50 participants and is made possible by the Thornwell Foster Care program.
