“Aging out” is a term used to describe what happens to teens in residential or foster care who reach their 18th birthdays without having a permanent home. They do not have family support and often lack the skills to be successful young adults. Our transitional living program helps prepare these teens for a successful future. Thornwell offers support and living arrangements to these teens in our care.
- Young adults live at our location in Clinton, South Carolina.
- This program serves ages 17-21.
- Life-skill building is a focus of this program, helping young adults start planning for their long- term future.
- The program provides independent living skills taught by trained staff who provide assistance with housing, educational, and career challenges.
